Omni Air International: Global Transportation Solutions
Omni Air International is a privately owned and managed United States FAA Part 121 certificated air carrier entering its third decade of air transportation solutions. Omni provides worldwide passenger charter operations to a diverse customer base including tour operators, scheduled and charter airlines, cruise lines, corporations (shuttles and incentive programs), sports teams, alumni groups, and global government agencies. In 2011, Omni became the first U.S. non-scheduled air carrier to achieve IOSA registration, the industry’s benchmark for global safety management.
Omni’s fleet consists of modern, fuel efficient B777-200ER, B767-300ER, and B767-200ER aircraft. This uniquely capable fleet carries the highest payload and has modern cabin furnishings, including all leather seats. High quality aircraft, customizable in-flight service, upgraded passenger amenities and superior customer service set Omni apart from the competition.
Omni introduced twin engine ETOPS operations in 2003 with the addition of the B757-200ER. Upon doing so, Omni became the second U.S. airline to obtain 180-minute ETOPS certification “out of the box.” Today, the all-Boeing fleet operates under 180-minute ETOPS, polar, and CAT III authority. Omni Air International controls its destiny and remains an industry leader through ownership of its aircraft and an extensive spare parts inventory.
In addition to the fleet of modern aircraft, Omni’s senior management also heavily invests in state-of-the-art technology, infrastructure, and a dedicated team of people to support the operation. Omni’s systems operations control center is staffed 24/7/365 with highly skilled aviation professionals to manage every aspect of the operation. In addition, Omni maintains a remote disaster recovery center for seamless operational integrity despite natural disasters or unforeseen events.
The future is bright for Omni as demand for superior charter service continues to grow. A commitment to carefully controlled economic growth, building competitive advantage through operational excellence and thoughtful cost management allows the company to maintain its unprecedented reputation within the aviation industry.
An Impressive History
1993 - Omni Air Express is certificated as a U.S. FAA Part 121 operating a fleet of B727 freighter aircraft. Customers include many of the industry’s largest integrated freight forwarders such as BAX Global, DHL, Emery Worldwide and UPS. The company also dedicates aircraft to transporting thoroughbred race horses throughout North America.
1997 - The company changes its name to Omni Air International and receives US FAA and DOT passenger authority. It enters the domestic and worldwide charter markets, operating a fleet of DC10-10 passenger aircraft.
1998 - Omni Air International exits the B727 freight market to focus exclusively on passenger charter. The first long range DC10-30 is added to the fleet.
1999 - Omni Air International is approved to participate in the Civil Reserve Air Fleet program and becomes an active member of the National Air Carriers Association. An additional DC10-30 is acquired.
2002 - All DC10-10 aircraft are retired as the DC10-30 fleet continues to expand.
2003 - B757 passenger aircraft are integrated into the fleet. The FAA grants approval for 180-minute ETOPS, only the second time in the history of U.S. aviation that this type of immediate ETOPS authority has been granted.
2008 - Omni Air International develops a plan to retire all DC10 aircraft to transition to a modern, fuel efficient twin engine fleet.
2009 - The first B767-300ER is added to the fleet.
2011 - Omni Air International becomes the first dedicated passenger charter airline in the United States to achieve the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration. Omni acquires two 777-200ERs, becoming the first and only U.S. certificated charter airline to operate this modern equipment. The B767 fleet continues to expand and all remaining DC10 aircraft are retired.
2011 - Omni updates its 777 aircraft with a state-of-the art inflight entertainment system and an updated interior. The Zodiac RAVE system provides every passenger with access to on demand movies, television series, music, and games.
The future is bright for OAI, as demand for superior charter service continues to grow. We believe our continued commitment to carefully controlled economic growth, building competitive advantage through operational excellence and thoughtful cost management will allow us to maintain our unprecedented reputation within the aviation industry.
What Our Customers Are Saying
"...our original airline had a technical problem with the plane taking us from Puerto Plata to London. After a couple of tense days, you guys took us home and I have got to say that service was first class! The flight crew were absolutely fantastic and real professionals...Omni Air International could show many airlines how it’s done. Please send my thanks to all those involved..."
“Just a special THANK YOU to the staff at Omni Air. My wife and I just returned from a trip to Barcelona aboard your 777. The flight crew both ways was outstanding, the service was excellent, the aircraft was clean and comfortable, and we especially appreciated the in-seat entertainment center. However the real reason for this email is because of the integrity shown by your company. On our return flight, I accidentally left my IPAD on board the plane. I discovered this a few hours later upon arriving home, called and left a message with your ‘Baggage service’ number. I just received a call that my IPAD was found and is being returned to me. Due to the honesty and integrity of your Team, I’m looking forward with much relief to my IPAD being shipped to my office. “
"...it was my privilege to recognize Omni Air International for their great support to the DoD and your professionals certainly made the opportunity a grand event. It is clear there is a lot of pride, teamwork and "family" coming together to make your support so positive and I really enjoyed the visit..."
"...I am from Wisconsin and recently flew your airline from Madison, WI to Maui and Honolulu and back. I have flown on probably 30 different airlines but I was so proud of your crew and staff that I have to take a minute out of my day to let you know that you people have the right way of running an airline, I think it is just terrific! I wish you all the luck in the world, continue the good work!..."
“Our folks were effusive with praises about your operation and flights supporting our tour to Germany and Austria. Your folks made us look good in all phases of the flight operation, and that’s something we won’t soon forget. One of the highlights was congratulating the band for their win in Hamburg using the airport signage in Vienna. I know it helped finish their journey with a very positive memory.”
"...I would like to thank you and all of the Omni Air International flight crews and staff for your excellent efforts in transporting us to and from Orlando for the Capital One Bowl. We could not have asked for more. Your excellent communication and organization were much appreciated. The cabin crew were outstanding and the flights punctual. Please express our appreciation to everyone and how much we feel they are a part of this great victory for our program..."
